Zack Snyder, known for movies like 300 and the four-hour “Snyder Cut” from Justice Leagueis working on an RPG set in the universe of his upcoming Netflix sci-fi movie Rebel moonhe teased in a podcast interview on Sunday.

“The one thing I’m really enjoying is — and I don’t even know if I should talk about it — this RPG that we’re doing, which is just literally insane and so immersive and so intense and so massive,” said Snyder in an interview on The Nerd Queens podcast.

Snyder did not share many details and the Rebel moon connection – he doesn’t even specify what friendly of RPG it is, although it seems like a video game – but he said he didn’t want to make a “causal” game and that he wanted the game to be played on a “ridiculous scale”.

We’ll have to wait to hear more about what this game could be, but I’m personally skeptical. Planning for “ridiculous scale” could mean the game bites more than it can chew and hopefully won’t come at the expense of the development team. It could face stiff competition from another big new sci-fi title in Bethesda’s highly anticipated Star field, which seems like a pretty ridiculous scale in itself. Since then Rebel moon does not debut until 22 Decwe won’t know for a while if it’s an interesting universe for a game.

For now, we’ll have to ask how good this is Rebel moon game could be. If you’re looking for a Snyder fix anytime soon, you can always revisit the black-and-white version of the Snyder Cut (though now I wonder what a game based on it would look like).
