Why cybersecurity is still hiring and spending money with Vanta and Sequoia • australiabusinessblog.com
Dismissed. They are all over Silicon Valley. While it seems like every company is cutting back, some sectors are on the upswing, including cybersecurity. I’m excited to have Christina Cacioppo, CEO of Vanta, and Sequoia partner, Andrew Reed, speak about Vanta’s growth, especially hiring when everyone else is laid off.
Christina Cacioppo started Vanta in 2016 and has raised $202.95 million to date, including a $150 million Series B that closed in October 2022. The company fascinates me because it does the most boring, yet important work in compliance and security automation. Vanta is quickly becoming an important part of the startup world’s product stack as it is a one-stop shop for all their compliance needs.
In our February 15 australiabusinessblog.com Live, we’re going to talk about their most recent raise, including a look at their pitch deck, and discuss why cybersecurity startups are still spending money. It’s a hot conversation, especially for founders and developers looking for their next project.
