Kim Rhodes is not yet a household name, but this highly qualified actress is slowly working her way up the ladder of success while apparently being a wonderful wife and mother. This rising star has been described as humble, kind and wise.

Early life

Kim was born on June 7, 1969 in Portland, Oregon, USA, where she spent her childhood with her father Frank Rhodes, her mother Jane Rhodes and sister Jennifer Rhodes.

Education

Rhodes received her Bachelor of Fine Arts and graduated summa cum laude from Southern Orgeon State College, then attended Temple University and received her Masters in Fine Art. After completing both of her degrees, she was certified in four different types of stage combat: dagger, rapier, hand-to-hand, and quarterstaff.

Career

Before moving on to acting Kim worked as a veterinarian’s assistant for three years before appearing in some of William Shakespeare’s plays.

Rhodes made her big screen acting breakthrough in 1996 when she joined the cast of “Another World” playing Cynthia “Cindy” Brooke Harrison in Irna Phillips and William J. Bell’s soap opera produced by the National Broad Casting Company (NBC). show focused on domestic life in a less conventional and dramatic way than usual in soap operas, focusing instead on exotic melodrama unfolding between classes of people and their families.

Between 1999-2001, Kim appeared in two TV shows – “The Lot” and “As the World Turns”.

Over the next four years, Rhodes played small parts in “Christmas with the Cranks” and “In Pursuit”, and played Elastagirl in the superhero movie “Sky High”, but unfortunately her scenes were cut.

In 2005, Rhodes began playing Carey Martin in the Disney Channel original show “The Suit Life of Zack and Cody” in which she portrayed the mother of twins Zack and Cody, played by Cole and Dylan Sprouse, well-known child actors who also starred in “Big Daddy” alongside Adam Sandler, and David Schimmers on screen sons in the hit TV show “Friends”.

“The Suit Life of Zach and Cody” follows the lives of Zach and Cody Martin, who live with their mother Carey at the Tipton hotel where Carey worked as a lounge singer. The launch was the most-watched, highest-grossing premiere ever on the Disney Channel, creating huge publicity for all of the show’s cast.

The show was so popular that it spawned a spin-off show “The Suit Life on Deck”, in which the twins were sent to boarding school on a cruise ship because they no longer lived with their mother – the character of Rhodes only appeared as a guest star in four episodes.

In 2010, Rhodes landed the role of Sherriff Jody Mills on the CW television network show “Supernatural”; she joined the cast in season five in the episode “Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid” and character has since appeared in every season, making her one of the longest recurring characters in the show’s history. Meet famous husband

Kim Rhodes met her now husband, independent film director Travis Hodges, when he was working as the main production assistant for ‘Touched by an Angel’. Hodges says he was immediately surprised by Kim. When Kim became a guest star on the show, Travis was in charge of showing her the ropes. “It was his job to take care of me, and he’s still doing a great job!” Kim said.

When the couple decided to get married in 2006, they asked Blush Bridal to help them plan their wedding in Portland, the hometown of the bride, who wanted their wedding to be beautiful and elegant, but with a clear note of fun . “Marriage is for us; the wedding was for everyone!” Kim said. They wanted small amounts of celadon and yellow with just a touch of burgundy, staying away from bright colors.
