He also worked on the series “Desperate Housewives” as Austin McCann. In addition to his acting, he was one of the selected winners in the competition show “Popstars 2”.
Josh Henderson’s net worth
As of early 2020, Josh Henderson’s net worth is estimated to be over $2.5 million earned through a successful career in acting, in the profession since 2001.
Besides TV shows, he has also worked on several movies and has appeared in several music videos, mostly in collaboration with Ashley Tisdale.
Beginning of early life, education and career
While Josh was born in Dallas, his family later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he would grow up. At a young age, he showed an inclination for sports, especially baseball. He attended Memorial High School, one of Tulsa’s public high schools and known for its distinctive foreign language classes. During his time there, he played baseball with the school’s team.
He made his entry into the entertainment industry when he took part in the second season of the reality competition program “Popstars”, which aired on The WB.
The show features numerous singing talents competing with each other to be part of a boy or girl group. The concept of the show originated in New Zealand in 1999 and became one of the most successful shows during that time. The show is said to have been the inspiration for the creation of Simon Fuller’s franchise. Josh was one of the winners of the competition, chosen to be part of a new mixed group, Scene 23. However, the group was short-lived as they only released an album before going their separate ways.
Full transition to entertainment
After his run with Scene 23, Henderson pursued a recording career for a while, but was unable to find much traction as a solo artist.

He then moved into modeling while receiving offers, and began auditioning for acting roles as well. In 2002, he began appearing in a series of advertisements promoting the 4Wheeler Skate shoes from the Skechers footwear brand. This went on for about two years, and during this time he started appearing as a guest in various sitcoms.
Some of his projects included “8 Simple Rules…for Dating My Teenage Daughter”, “Do Over” and “Maybe It’s Me”. Around this time, he made his screen debut in the horror movie “Leeches!” which was released straight to video, in collaboration with Matthew Twining and Stacey Nelson.
He was then cast in the romantic comedy “The Girl Next Door”, which tells the story of a college student who falls in love with his neighbor, only to discover she is a former porn actress. Other stars of the show included Emile Hirsch, Timothy Olyphant and Elisha Cuthbert.
Rise to fame
In 2005, Josh landed one of his first starring roles, in the series “Over There”, which was short-lived as the show was canceled after one season. The following year, he gained a bit of popularity when he was cast in the dance movie “Get upwhich portrays Jenna Dewan’s character’s boyfriend.
In the years to come, he would get more starring roles as he was cast in “April Fool’s Day” and “Fingerprints”. Other projects he had during this period included “Broken Bridges” and “Yours, Mine & Ours”.
He continued to build on his resume as he was cast in the 2006 season of “Desperate Housewives” playing Edie Britt’s cousin, Austin McCann. Set on a fictional street in a fictional neighborhood, the show follows the lives of several women as they go through their lives, tackling stories of crimes and secrets hidden in their seemingly normal neighborhood. After being on the show for a season, he also spent another season on the CW version of “90210”.
The show is the fourth series in the ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ franchise.
Dallas and recent projects
In 2011, Henderson was cast as one of the lead characters in the “Dallas” revival, which aired on TNT. He was the son of Sue Ellen played by actress Linda Gray in her relationship with JR Ewing (Larry Hagman). The show received positive reviews during its early run, with many critics calling him one of its breakout stars. He was also praised for his on-screen chemistry with Pamela Rebecca Barnes, who played Julie Gonzalo. The show lasted three seasons but was eventually cancelled.
Josh was next cast in the series “The Arrangement” alongside Christine Evangelista. The show tells the story of an aspiring actress who is offered a huge amount of money to marry one of the leading action stars in the industry. The show itself is a way of presenting the allegedly arranged relationships in Hollywood, with many speculating that it drew direct comparisons to the relationship between actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. The show ended after two seasons, with network E! decide to Cancel the show.
Private life
Josh has been in several high-profile relationships throughout his career. His first known relationship was with singer Ashlee Simpson whom he dated from 2002 to 2003. Three years later, he began a relationship with reality television personality Kendal Sheppard, known for her time on “Road Rules: Campus Crawl”. The relationship also lasted a year, and he then started dating Brittany Snow, who is known for his appearance in “Guiding Light”. After their relationship ended in 2008, he had no known public relations until 2013 when he started to date Andrea Boehlke who is known for her work in “Survivor”.

She has a child whom she claims Josh is the father, but he denies that the child is his.
In 2018 he was arrested on suspicion of burglary, after being reported by his neighbors who allegedly saw him robbed through cameras with two other people.
