Born Jake Abramson on July 28, 1990 in Los Angeles, California, USA, as much as he shares his life today, he has invested just as much effort into hiding details from his childhood.

All we know is that he went to college where he earned a business degree in marketing. After graduation, JakenbakeLive received a scholarship to Fudan University, where he studied the Chinese language (Mandarin) for the next two years, and fell in love with Asian culture.
