Giulia Diletta Leotta was born in Catania, Sicily, Italy, on August 16, 1991 – her zodiac sign is Leo and she is an Italian national. She is a journalist, Instagram star and a TV presentercurrently working for UK sports streaming service DAZN (“the zone”), presenting Italy’s Serie A professional football competition.

Youth and education

Diletta grew up in Catania with her younger brother Mirko Leotta, through their mother Ofelia Castoria, who is a housewife, and their father Rori Leotta, who owns a small business in Sicily.

Diletta became interested in sports at a very young age, as football is very popular in Italy, and her father and brother often watched matches on TV and also attended live matches. Enrolling in a local high school, she began playing soccer for the school team, while also starting modeling at the age of 16, winning the “Miss Elegant” beauty pageant at Miss Italy 2011. Diletta worked for the school newspapers, about high school football, and after matriculation in 2009 she enrolled in the University of Catania (Universita di Catania).

She started working at a local radio station while attending college, and after graduating in 2013, she continued her education and received her master’s degree in law from Luiss University in 2015.

Diletta gained recognition in April 2018 when she was invited to co-host the show “105 Take Away” with Aida Yespica, which aired on the Radio 105 Network. In the same year, she was invited to serve as co-host of the Miss Italia beauty pageant along with Francesco Facchinetti, a famous Italian singer, DJ and producer – the pageant was won by Carlotta Maggiorana.

In 2019, she started presenting the Serie B football competition for Sky Sport (Italy) TV Network together with Gianluca Di Marzio, before being invited to work for DAZN and cover the Serie A league. Most recently, in February 2020, Diletta was the host of the 70th Sanremo Music Festival, the biggest musical event in Italy – the festival was won by Antonio Diodato with his song “Fai Rumore”, and he was due to represent Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2020, but which was eventually canceled due to COVID-19.

Diletta is also an Instagram star who has managed to accumulate more than 6.6 million followers on her account and uploaded nearly 1,900 photos. In November 2019, Diletta started dating Italian professional boxer Daniele Scardina – he is one year younger than Diletta as he was born on April 2, 1992, and began his career in 2012, while winning a Golden Glove the following year and competing in the world boxing series. He rose to fame in March 2019 when he won the International Boxing Federation super middleweight title. It is rumored that Diletta and Daniele are currently living together, but they are not married and have no children.

Before Daniele, Diletta was in a relationship with a man whose name is not known. and they were together for over five years before getting engaged.
