Early life and education
Tequan spent the first nine years of his life in Burlington, where he was raised as an only child by his father, who is a janitor, and his mother, who is a nurse. His family then moved to Los Angeles in California, where Tequan attended elementary school and began rapping for fun with his friends.
He grew up interested in basketball and watched most National Basketball Association (NBA) games on TV, but was never well enough to play for his school’s team, though he had no real intentions of becoming an actor either .
