Wendy Nix is an American sports commentator, television reporter, and broadcaster, who is probably most recognized for currently serving as the host of one of ESPN’s top-rated broadcasts, the studio show devoted entirely to the National Football League (NFL), entitled “NFL To live”.
Early life and education
Wendi Nix was born under the constellation Virgo on the 17e September 1974, in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina USA, and is of American nationality and white ethnicity.
While attending Socastee High School, graduating in 1992, she was a member of the track and field team and a cheerleader. She later transferred to Cranford, New Jersey, where she continued her education at Union County College, after which she enrolled at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where she graduated in 1996 and received her bachelor’s degree, majoring in economics and French language . she was also the captain of the golf team. The latest highlight of her educational background is the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she received a master’s degree in sports management in 1997.
Career
Wendi started her professional career in 1999 when she joined the ABC-affiliated TV station WPDE-TV in Florence, South Carolina, for which she served as a reporter covering not only news but also high school sports and NASCAR racing. After honing her skills there over the course of the next two years, she moved to Watertown, Massachusetts in 2001 and joined the New England Sports Network, popularly known as NESN, becoming its general reporter.
Between 2002 and 2003, Wendy served as an anchor and as a reporter for FOXSports New England, before being appointed FOXSports national sports reporter. In 2003, she joined Boston CBS-affiliated TV station WHDH, where she worked as a sports anchor for the next three years.
In August 2006, Nix joined ESPN and was named as the reporter responsible for covering college football and hosting the “College Football Live” broadcast.
Also an experienced golfer, between 2007 and 2010 Wendy regularly reported from the US Open, The Open Championship and The Masters golf tournaments. She established herself as a prominent reporter and also contributed to other ESPN programs such as “College GameDay” and “SportsCenter”. As a member of the “Monday Night Football” team, in 2009 Nix served as host of his “Chalk Talk” segments.
