A unique treat for isekai anime fans comes in the form of What God Does in a World Without Gods anime, also known as the Kamisama activities in a Godless World anime. Although the release date of the anime Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudou may not be in 2022 according to the official websiteI look forward to learning more about it.

In most anime, gods and goddesses don’t do anything or make things worse. Sometimes in hilarious ways, but most of the time there is at least one omnipotent being on the side of the main character.

And judging by Yukito’s face in the teaser footage. He’d rather not have Mitama near him.

What do we know about the Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudou anime?

Aoi Akashiro and Sonsho Hangollenan began publishing the Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudou manga in Hero magazine in May 2019. The fifth part of the manga is coming to Japan on April 27, 2022.

The plot follows a young man named Yukito. He is the son of a shady cult leader and dies in a ceremony to become the next guru. However, when he wakes up, Yukito finds himself in another world… one without gods or religion of any kind!

Yukito eventually adapts to this world and makes friends, only to discover that the Imperial State enforces a system called Time to Live. The system forces people to commit suicide when they reach a certain age, and Yukito’s new friends must obey it. But all is not lost because Yukito is about to get help from Mitama

The god, his father’s cult, worships and is said to be omnipotent and omnipresent. But will Mitama be a blessing or a curse now that she is in a world without other gods?

Why is isekai so popular, and how is the story of What God Does in a World Without Gods different?

Isekai, or being transported to other worlds, is one of the oldest tropes of modern anime. You can turn any story into an isekai, and it doesn’t have to be from an anime or manga.

Everything from folklore, classic fairy tales and nursery rhymes is fair game. My favorite isekai is Alice in Wonderland. You can show me anything that vaguely resembles a girl falling down a rabbit hole, and I’ll be interested.

What God is doing in a world without God’s plot is compelling. I’ve never heard of the manga, and I want to read it now! But I can’t find any translations, and it’s driving me against the wall.

I like stories that break traditions, and a world without religion is the most important break I’ve seen in a long time. Faith is the core of every faith.

And Mitama is a goddess who has only Yukito to believe in her in the new world. Does this mean she will be weak because she only has Yukito?

Or will she become the strongest being in that world because there are no other gods to intervene?
