We asked Trinny Woodall how to make it as a woman in business
Being a woman in business is incredibly tough. On average, it costs them 30% longer than men to reach the CEO position. They love less than 25% of board positions. And 42% of women experienced sexism at work.
These numbers are just the tip of the iceberg. From socialization to societal prejudice, women face difficulties every step of the way in the startup, technology and business worlds.
But that does not mean that success cannot be found, on the contrary. There are tons of women who thrive in business – and one of them is Trinny Woodall, the co-founder of Trinny Londona premium beauty and skincare brand.

We caught up with Woodall at TNW2022 and talked to her about how to make it as a woman in business. The result was a quick, informative video that you can look here.
Throughout, Woodall discusses the biggest challenges as a female entrepreneur, the key to a successful business, how to build your network, and the secrets to becoming a successful leader.
One topic she discussed was the untapped potential women have for storytelling, structure, and creativity, and how to capitalize on these talents.
In addition, Woodall told TNW that women need to remember “how much better [they] are into certain things’ than other people. In other words, to be successful you need to leverage your strengths, instead of worrying about the traits you possess do not to have.
It’s easy to look around a male-dominated environment and find all the ways you fall short. Instead, women should shift their focus back to their own talents, the skills no one else in the room possesses. From there, they can use these skills to build and run a business.
