Wataten film Precious Friends details, key visual announced at Anime Japan 2022
At AnimeJapan 2022 it was announced that the Wataten movie, Precious Friends, will premiere in early fall 2022 during a livestream announcement of the upcoming project.
The film, which was announced in 2021, then had a few details announced, announcing that the cast of studio, director, screenwriter and voice actors would remain the same. A key visual, preview trailer and movie plot details were also announced during the livestream.

Was anything else announced about the Wataten film during the event?
The release date, details of the film’s plot and a key visual were revealed during the event. While it won’t be the first major visual to be released — the film’s announcement was accompanied by a major visual and poster — it’s the first to be unveiled since the film’s announcement last October, giving us a better understanding in what could be covered in the film.

The intent is to follow Hana, Hinata, Noa, Koyori, Miyako and Kanon as they embark on an all-new original movie adventure centered on their first field trip as a group after a cookie fest leads to a discovery about Hana’s grandmother who they want to find her. treasure.
The film will premiere sometime in the fall of 2022, and while a second season of the series has not yet been confirmed, Wataten’s strong 2.9 million sales mean the possibility of a second season (provided the film does well) will remain on the table – the series is certainly still going strong, and the passion behind today’s announcement means the creators are confident in the project.
