Jordan was then helped by a friend to enter the stock market, and he founded the brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont, Inc. on, which began as part of Stratton Securities. The real estate agency only served to scam people and Jordan started attending parties, drinking alcohol and using drugs to excess.
