A few years later, she graduated from the Center for Creative Studies College of Art and Design, with a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration Fashion. Her education continued in San Francisco, California where she attended the Iyengar Yoga Institute and studied Prayanama, Iyengar Yoga, physiology and anatomy. She also studied music for some time – mainly classical piano and jazz.

Career

Gallen is a “jack of all trades” as her interests and professional paths are numerous.

Before turning to freelance modeling, she worked as a waitress and also at Active Real Estate as a secretary. She also worked for some time as a store manager in Detroit companies and even had a brief career as a theater performer at the Detroit Institute of Arts! She had a successful modeling career, even appearing on the cover of “Playboy” several times, which eventually led to her meeting her future husband. After her modeling career was over, she became a fashion designer, but soon established herself as a yoga instructor.

Married to Verne Troyer

Gallen and Verne Troyer (1969 – 2018) met in 2002 at a New Year’s Eve party at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles, California. Soon after, Verne invited her to a romantic dinner at a luxurious Four Seasons Hotel. This was the start of their romance and two years later the couple apparently married in a private ceremony in January 2004 – Gallen quickly replaced many of her furnishings to match Verne’s height to help her new husband get by in her apartment. However, they filed for divorce the next day and eventually separated later that year.

They never had children together and their short-lived marriage sparked much controversy. Troyer was an actor known for his short stature of only 2 feet 8 inches (0.81 meters). He suffered from cartilaginous hair hypoplasia, a genetic condition characterized by small growth and often lack of hair. He appeared in movies such as “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”.

Gallen has accused Troyer of being violent on a number of occasions, claiming that he once even threw a vodka bottle at her, which broke on her head and left her with minor injuries.

She also said that Troyer was an alcoholic, but that on rare occasions, when he was sober, he was actually really nice and kind, which is why she stayed with him for so long. In her interview as of 2009 she talked about Troyer being a sex addict and they had sex up to 10 times a day. On the other hand, Verne accused her of lying and said she just wanted to profit from the divorce – a statement supported by his lawyer. This led many to question Gallen’s initial decision to marry, and caused much of the media to turn their support for Troyer.

After marrying Gallen, Troyer had many other relationships, all equally controversial. His ex-girlfriend Ranae Shrider leaked their sex tape in 2008 and he filed suit, also charging her with attempted murder. He also briefly dated Dominique Arganes, a famous model from Canada.

Sadly, Verne Troyer passed away at 21^st April 2018, apparently from alcohol poisoning and later ruled a suicide by the coroner. At the time of his death, he was in a relationship with German-American actress Brittney Powell.

Private life

Gallen is active on her Instagram profile, on which she promotes a raw organic vegan lifestyle, but she only has about 300 followers as of March 2020. However, not much is known about what she does in her spare time. She also tried herself in music and acting career but failed to achieve great success.

Since her divorce, she has not been known to be in a relationship, notable or not – which isn’t too surprising considering she decided to turn away from the Hollywood spotlight. She has no children. She currently lives in Los Angeles, California.
