Little is known about her earliest years, but at some point in her life, she moved to Ithaca, New York to enroll in Ithaca College. While in college, she also practiced lacrosse, a team sport played with a lacrosse stick and ball and considered to be the oldest organized sport in the US. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications and then moved to Los Angeles, California.
Career as a model
While still in college, Bartlett began participating in various pageants and beauty pageants, first appearing in 1989, in the Miss Massachusetts Teen USA, placing second.
She continued to compete and in 1991 she finally won the Miss Massachusetts Teen USA crown and represented her state in that year’s Miss Teen USA contest, which was held in Biloxi, Mississippi on 19e August. At the nationally televised event, she made the top 12 and placed 10the in the evening dress, sixth in the interview and 12e in bathing suit. When the overall scores were tallied, she was in 10e Place.
Acting career
Bartlett’s modeling career helped her land her first guest role on the TV series “Pacific Blue”, playing Suzanne in a 1999 episode titled “The Naked Truth”.
In the same year, she made a brief appearance in the science fiction adventure movie “Deep Blue Sea”. Roles kept coming, and the following year she portrayed the character of Sheila in Mary Lambert’s “The In Crowd”, and appeared in “Little Nicky” playing Fenner.
