She has worked for other companies as well, mostly part of professional American Football broadcasts.
The Wealth of Kay Adams
As of the beginning of 2020, Kay Adams’ net worth is estimated to be over $1 million earned by successfully working on sports television programs. She has earned valuable contracts while also serving as a field reporter and appearing live at several games.
She has also done radio work and hosted special events for a few National Football League (NFL) teams.
Early life and education
Kay is of Polish descent, and grew up learning the language as it was often spoken at home. At a young age she developed an interest in sports and would come to love American Football as he often watched it with her family. She became a huge fan of the NFL team, the Chicago Bears, and pursued a career in sports.
While she couldn’t be an athlete right away, there were many ways to gain a profession in popular sports. She grew up alongside two siblings who are also sports fans, and after enrolling in high school, she enrolled at Dartmouth College to earn a bachelor’s degree. While she has not specified her educational achievements, she likely took a course in broadcast journalism. Dartmouth is part of the prestigious Ivy League, a group of private universities rated among the best universities in the world. The school is also one of the first to be established in the US, founded in 1769.
After graduating from college, she quickly became involved in the world of sports, but first moved on to professional baseball, where she worked with a broadcast team covering Major League Baseball (MLB), specifically for the St. Louis Cardinals. She often appeared at the team’s home games and was an in-game host. Based in Missouri, the team has been an active part of MLB since the 1880s, holding the record for the third most pennants within the National League (NL). The Cardinals are among the most highly regarded MLB clubs in the league, with Forbes reporting their worth at $1.9 billion.
After her work there, Adams continued to show a desire to work in American Football broadcasts. She first made her way into the sport through fantasy football shows, as part of the various SiriusXM shows. Fantasy Football is an online game played by sports enthusiasts, who assemble a fantasy team made up of notable players from all over the NFL. They then compete against other players in a competition, with players who perform the most in their stats helping them win a round, leading up to playoffs at the end of each season.
Rise to fame
The shows Kay has been part of include “Fantasy Drive” and “Livin’ the Fantasy”. Sirius XM is known for providing both online radio and satellite radio services giving them a national reach, even as far away as Canada. Her passion and expertise would greatly benefit her career, and she was offered more positions, becoming part of another fantasy show – “Fantasy Zone” – which aired on DirecTV, a satellite television service provider in the US. While working for these shows, she also gained fame due to her attractive looks.
Her popularity grew to the point that she was invited to be a guest on an episode of the “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson”. As the name implies, the show is hosted by Craig Ferguson, who ran the ‘Late Late’ franchise from 2005 to 2014, before his duties were eventually taken over by James Corden. In 2016, Adams landed her biggest role to date when she was hired by the NFL Network to host one of their programs. The NFL Network is owned directly by NFL, as part of their media conglomerate that handles all film, television and digital aspects of the league.
Since 2016, Adams has been the host of “Good Morning Football”, which airs every weekday morning, teaming up with other hosts such as Nate Burleson and Kyle Brandt. The show follows stories that happened the previous day and provides insight into upcoming football events. Her work with the NFL Network also led to her connecting more with her youth team, the Chicago Bears. Since joining the network, she has hosted special events for the teams, though they have less coverage.
Two years after working on ‘Good Morning Football’, she was also offered a contract with the subscription streaming service DAZN, which offers various sports programs on demand.
She joined their boxing broadcast team that would handle various live events and other on-demand programs on their network. In this new team she joins names like LZ Granderson, Brian Kenny and retired professional boxer Sugar Ray Leonard. DAZN is based in the UK, but the service is offered to most parts of the world, including Japan, Germany, Spain, the US, Brazil and Italy. The venture has been very successful, with the company’s net worth estimated at over $3.5 billion.
Kay doesn’t talk much about her romantic endeavors.
