In 2018, Glover signed with RCA Records and subsequently released the single “This is America‘, which would go on to win him four Grammy Awards.
He also worked in “Solo: A Star Wars Story”, playing a younger version of the character Lando Calrissian. His performance was praised, but the movie itself lacked any substance to add to the Star Wars continuity.
He also collaborated with other artists during this period and headlined Coachella in 2018. The following year, he was part of the remake of “The lionkingdirected by Jon Favreau, which turned out to be very successful at the box office, one of the highest-grossing films of all time.
