Sarah Jade Claussen was born on December 12, 1987 in Bradenton, Florida, USA, so her zodiac sign is Sagittarius and she is an American national. Sarah is the only child of her parents, who are of Jewish descent. She spent her childhood in her hometown, played a lot of football and was a member of her school orchestra – she played the cymbals.

Sarah graduated from Bayshore High School in 2005. In 2006, Sarah was working as a bartender at one of the local strip clubs; it was then that she first felt an interest in pole dancing, as she was impressed by how fit, sporty and beautiful the pole dancers were at the place where she worked. Initially, she made pole dancing one of her hobbies, as she was fit enough due to her football past. She was also inspired by pole dancers like Karol Helms and Alethea Austin while watching their video tutorials on YouTube. After a few years, Sarah became a pole dance instructor, and in the same year she graduated from college, she founded her own pole dance studio, Buttercup Pole Dance.

In 2012 and 2013, Sarah was named “Most Athletic Pole Dancer” in the Pro Division of the Florida Pole Fitness Championship. In 2016, Sarah was awarded the title of Miss Pole Dance America and also became the ambassador for brands such as Bad Kitty and Pole Dancewear. As of 2017, Sarah performed at Miss Pole Dance America as a special guest, and has also appeared at events such as Pole Show LA, the Florida Pole & Aerial Arts Showcase, Ink-N-Iron Showcase of the Stars, and many others. Sarah also works as an ambassador and top athlete for Grata Designs fitness clothing.

Buttercup pole dance

In 2010, Sarah met her pole dance idol, Alethea Austin, who encouraged Sarah to enroll in the American Pole Dance Federation.

In 2011, when Sarah started her own pole dance studio, she immediately chose the name for it: ‘My great-grandmother, grandmother and my mother owned an antique shop from the time I was 4 years old until I was about 17. was called Buttercup Cottage. And I wanted to pay tribute to the three generations of women entrepreneurs before me,” Sarah said in one of her interviews. Alethea visited the studio shortly after it opened and wished Sarah the best of luck, leading her to believe she could develop her school into something great.

As of 2020, Buttercup Pole Dance has eight instructors, including one male, who teach different types of pole dance, such as polexotic, etc.; Sarah also hired a few air instructors to increase the variety of classes in her 4,200-square-foot school.

Personal life, husband Dave Bautista. Are they divorced?

In October 2015, Sarah married popular actor Dave Bautista. She became his third wife, as Dave had first married Glenda in 1990, but divorced her after eight years of marriage to marry his second wife, Angie. Dave has three children from his previous marriages named Keilani (born 1990), Athena (1992) and Oliver in 2000. Since Dave’s eldest daughter is already a mother of two, Sarah legally became a step-grandmother to Dave’s grandchildren.

Sarah has had no children.

However, Dave and Sarah broke up in early 2019 and as of 2020, Sarah has deleted all their mutual photos from her Instagram account and has already shared the news about her new boyfriend who she traveled to Las Vegas with in June 2019. Sara likes to visit Dog Bar Sint Pieter, which is a bar and a “off-leash area for dogs” at the same time; she is also a patron of several dogs there and is a longtime member of the club. Her pit bull named Franklin Beans is battling cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy as of May 2020. She also has another pit bull named Jane.

Sarah often uses the services of a masseuse and chiropractor; she also found rolfing to be the best massage technique for her body.
