“The Problem With Jon Stewart” Season 2 is released on Apple TV+
This month brings positive news for admirers of Jon Stewart. The Trouble with Jon Stewart, the comedian’s famous discussion show, returns to Apple TV+ this month. The debut is scheduled for March 3, 2023. The first season of the commentary-style program premiered in 2021, hosted by The Daily Show veteran Jon Stewart, who is not only a highly renowned comic, but also a notable political pundit, provocateur , actor, producer and TV presenter.
During his tenure, the program grew in popularity, receiving critical acclaim for 22 Primetime Emmy Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several bids for news and journalism awards. He was the longest-running presenter on the Daily Show from 1995 to 2015, when he was succeeded by comedian Trevor Noah. After leaving, he began hosting The Trouble with Jon Stewart on Apple TV+.
Season 2 of The Trouble with Jon Stewart returns with talks about the military, crime, cancellation culture, inflation and fascism.
According to a formal press release issued by Apple TV+ Press on April 7, 2022, the current idea of the program is as follows:
“The Trouble with Jon Stewart” is a one-hour, multi-season, one-issue documentary that examines topics that are currently part of the national discussion and his campaign work. To continue the conversation, each season of the series will be further explored in a supplemental podcast.”
However, part two of season two will feature the series’ first-ever foreign talks with a number of foreign policy officials. Stewart confronts Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge over the state’s ban on gender-affirming treatments in a preview of the upcoming season.
According to a February 2023 Apple TV+ press release:
“The second season continues with six all-new segments covering topics such as crime, military strategy, inflation and democratic decline. The series features difficult, topical and culture-shaping discussions from the perspectives of stakeholders, specialists and people facing these issues, using humor and common sense.
Some notable people expected to appear on this season of The Trouble with Jon Stewart include:
- General David Petraeus speaks of security.
- Natham Dahm (R-OK) takes a closer look at crime and firearms.
- California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) speaks on prison reform and rehabilitation.
For the first time in the series, the presenter travels abroad to talk with foreign policy experts.
The problem with Jon Stewart: podcasting and live streaming
The series also has related audio of the same name available on iTunes Podcasts and through RSS platforms. The program is also loved and has received accolades for awards such as the Ambie Award for Outstanding Talk Audio. Last year, Adweek’s Podcast of the Year Awards named it the Best Talk Podcast, earning People’s Choice Podcast Award votes for Best Male Host and Best Politics & News Program. This season, the presenter also held a broadcast on their YouTube account.

In addition to hosting, Jon Stewart will also produce it through his Busboy Productions. Executive producers include primary new runners Brinda Adhikari, James Dixon, Chris McShane and Richard Plepler. The Trouble with Jon Stewart debuts on Apple TV+ on March 3, 2023.
