However, other startup founders can tune in virtually for free to hear from industry leaders from Stripe, AWS Startups, the ASX, leading Australian tech startups and venture capital firms.

Bay City Labs, Stripe, AWS Startups, Cake Equity and Startup Victoria host the bootcamp, which brings together leaders from Australia’s top technology, investment and high-growth business ventures for a free event aimed at early stage and Series A startup founders.

Speakers include Jodie Imam, co-founder and co-CEO of Tractor Ventures; Linktree co-founder Anthony Zaccaria; Lauren Capelin, AWS Startups Ecosystem Manager; and co-founder and co-CEO of Amber, Chris Thompson.

The bootcamp at Bay City Labs, based in Docklands, January 18-19, will feature in-depth conversations about raising capital, growing and scaling a startup.

Panels at the two-day boot camp will look at the current state of VC investing, strategies for building funding, going global, managing growth and cultivating a startup culture, along with how to successfully exit a venture. January 18 focuses on early-stage investments, while day two is Series A and beyond

Bay City Labs Head of Growth Shelin David said, “The tech startup community is facing a time of uncertainty as funding models change. However, when there is uncertainty, there is opportunity and we are excited to explore the changing landscape at this great event featuring Stripe, AWS Startups, Cake Equity and Startup Victoria.”

She said the two days’ expert speakers will provide valuable insight and practical advice on how to navigate these uncertain times and emerge stronger. Whether you’re looking to raise capital, exit the market, scale globally, or just stay afloat, this event is a must for tech startups weathering economic uncertainty.

In-person and virtual registrations for the two-day event are open at https://stripe.events/melbournestartupbootcamp2023/bootvic.

Bay City Labs is the Melbourne branch of ACSnetwork of innovation labs, including Brisbane’s River City Labs and Sydney’s Harbor City Labs.
