Another entry in the long list of light new anime adaptations is on the way! The Executioner and Her Way of Life will appear on the silver screen soon, in the spring of 2022.
For those unfamiliar with the series, The Executioner and Her Way of Life (Shokei Shojo no Bajin Rodo in Japanese) is an upcoming yuri anime based on a light novel written by Mato Sato and illustrated by Nilitsu. To date, the light novel has 6 volumes and is ongoing.
The light novel also inspired a manga adaptation, which was released in June 2020. The manga is written by its creator, Mato Sato, and illustrated by Ryo Mistuya.
So far, the manga has three parts and counting!
The Executioner and Her Way of Life will premiere on April 2, 2022. It will initially air on the Japanese networks Tokyo MX, BS11, AT-X.
JC Staff, the studio behind the second season of One Punch Man, Revolutionary Girl Utena and Azumanga Daioh, is producing this adaptation. Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series so it will be available to stream HiDive
The opening theme for the anime is Paper Bouquet, performed by Mili; while the closing theme song is Touka Serenade (Serenade by Lamplight), performed by ChouCho.
What is the executioner and her way of life about?
The Lost Ones are troublesome hobos, who hail from a distant land called Japan. Long ago, the people of Japan were given a unique power called Pure Concept.
Armed with this supernatural power, they were eventually able to unite and move the entire world forward. However, when Pure Concept got out of hand, the world fell into chaos.
No one knows how or why the Lost Ones can leave their homeworld, but one thing is clear. Wherever the Lost Ones go, calamity and calamity will follow.
Menou the executioner is responsible for finding and eliminating the lost. One day, she tries to kill a lost person named Akari Tokito, but fails.
Unfortunately for Menou, Akari is able to reverse her death through the power of Pure Concept of Time. As a result, Menou is forced to stay by Akari’s side until she finds a way to kill her.
