As many anime otaku know, today May 10 is “Maid Day” in Japan. This is because “May 10” in Japanese can be read as “May-do”.
Commemorating Maid Day 2022, a 100-second love letter movie has been posted on the official website for the upcoming second anime season of Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid. The Duke of Death and His Maid Season 2 release date is coming in the future.
The letter film features the two main characters – the maid Alice (Ayumi Mano) and Bocchan (Natsuki Hanae). The love letter Alice writes contains her usual flirty teasing and teasing from Bocchan, but at the end she states that “a real present will be revealed on May 12”. This could be important as the latest Volume 12 of the manga will also be released on that day.

A touching story of a star-crossed love between a maid and her master
The story of The Duke of Death and His Maid revolves around the life of an unnamed Duke known only as “The Duke of Death” or “Bocchan”, as everyone calls him. He deserved that horrible namesake for being cursed as a child by a witch to kill whatever (or whoever) he touches. Due to his curse, he was disowned by his family and forced to live on a dilapidated estate in the middle of a forest.
Fortunately, the Duke is not alone in his misery. His butler Rob followed him from the main house after he was fired there for being too old, and his current maid, Alice, had been looking for him on purpose since they were childhood friends. The only problem with Alice, however, is that she has a tendency to “sexually harass” the Duke and tease him mercilessly. After meeting two “witches”, Bocchan and Alice try to find the witch who cursed him so they can break his curse and finally be together in a romantic way.

Alice and Bocchan aren’t the only two people celebrating Maid Day. Anime otaku and cosplayers post anime maids or pictures of themselves in maid costumes on Twitter. Make sure you watch it with the correct hashtag: #メイドの日
