Description of the company
Despite the growth of data management software that helps organizations navigate the new regulatory landscape, many still face an arduous process of evaluating numerous disparate tools to be compliant. Onqlave enables organizations to incorporate data privacy capabilities into their digital architecture.
By doing so, Onqlave addresses some of the toughest issues organizations face when storing and processing their consumers’ sensitive data on public clouds.
Unlike other similar companies in the market, Onqlave takes a technical approach to solve privacy needs by providing privacy-as-a-service. It ensures that privacy and protection issues can be addressed at the source of the data, not every application that uses sensitive data, while being available through a simple API integration.
Antler investment thesis
“Matt and Simon deliver data privacy-as-a-service, addressing key data transfer, encryption and storage vulnerabilities,” said Cath Rogers, Partner of Antler Australia.
“Evolving privacy regulations, declining confidence in how personal data is stored, and increasing demand for cloud computing have been amplifying Onqlave’s addressable market. The Onqlave team brings deep domain expertise and tech to privacy-first solutions.”
Traction/milestones, so far
Onqlave has received a lot of interest and support from industry experts and insiders. Among these parties, there is a collective bargaining agreement that not enough is being done to protect consumers’ sensitive data and relying solely on privacy protections is not possible with public cloud providers alone.

Founders Comments
“Confirmation from industry insiders that we are solving a mission-critical problem is exciting,” said Simon O’Keefe, co-founder and CEO of Onqlave.
“There is simply not enough being done to protect consumers’ sensitive data coupled with an over-reliance on privacy protections through public cloud providers. We hope to fix that.
“Antler proved to be an important meeting place of like-minded ambitious individuals ready to build businesses to solve complex challenges facing our world. Matt and I immediately clicked with Antler with a shared interest in privacy and complementary skills to develop a privacy-as-a-service solution.”
