Since the series already has a PV trailer available and the official Tenshi-sama Twitter has stepped up its promotion with follower events and awards, there’s a chance the first episode will air as early as this year.

To celebrate reaching their goal of 50,000 followers, Twitter from Tenshi-sama announced a raffle event on March 24, 2022. Who is the voice cast of The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten?

The full cast of The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten has yet to be announced, but the main four have all appeared on Tenshi-sama’s official website. Starring the angel of the story, Mahiru Shiina, is manaka Iwami — known for her role as Tohru Honda in the Fruits Basket reboot.

To the outside world, Mahiru Shiina is a perfect beauty. Popular, athletic and kind, Mahiru easily attracts the attention of potential suitors at her school. And that’s why when her neighbor, Amane Fujimiya, catches her looking gloomy in the rain, he mustered up the courage to talk to her.

Amane Fujimiya, voiced by Taito Beno (recently known for Nagahiro Sakiguchi of Pretty Boy Detective Club), asks why Mahiru sits alone in such gloomy weather. Her answer is dismissive and he takes the hint – but not before offering her his umbrella when he leaves.

The next day, Amane has a cold – something that bothers his good friend, Isuki Akazawa. voiced by Taku Yashiro (the voice actor of Natsuo Fuji, the protagonist of Domestic Girlfriend), Isuki presses Amane for more details until he finally reveals that he gave away his umbrella the day before. Of course, he refrains from mentioning that it was Mahiru to whom he gave it.

His neighbor Mahiru notices that he has a cold and promises to help him get well. For her it is a matter of clearing her conscience. But while she takes care of Amane, the shy neighbors are brought closer.

Once back at school, everything goes back to normal. Mahiru is again the most popular girl in school while Amane watches from the sidelines. However, while listening to Itsuki about his girlfriend, Chitose Shirakawa, Amane begins to dream that the relationship with his neighbor is turning into something more.

voiced by Haruka Shiraishic (Golden Kamuy’s Asirpa), Chitose probably won’t appear until after a few episodes if the anime closely follows the manga. But as of now, it is unknown how much the plot will deviate. There’s also a chance fans will see her sooner than expected!

Where can I get The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten light novels?

Hopeful English readers are in luck! The first three volumes of the light novel have been translated and published by Yen Press. Go to their website to find retailers to pick up the books, such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. It is currently unknown when the next books in the series will be available internationally. But for now, the Japanese versions can be found on the light novel’s official site

Two new parts of the light novel are planned for this year. Part 6 will be released on May 16 and part 7 will be released on September 16, 2022. As the English translation is already well behind schedule, it is unknown whether the books will see international publication until at least 2023.

Manga readers have something to check out too! As of January this year, a manga adaptation of the novels was serialized in MangaUP!, an electronic manga publication. The app is only available in Japan. So to download it in other regions, potential readers will need to create a new App Store/Google Play account set to Japan. In some cases, access to the app may require a VPN.
