The official trailer of The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten and the Twitter account announced that the TV anime will air in 2023. No exact date has been set yet, so stay tuned!
The anime is an adaptation of the light novel series of the same name, written by Saekisan and illustrated by Hanekoto. It was originally published on the Shosetsuka ni Narōo (小説家になろう, “Let’s Become a Novelist”) user-generated website, but has since been licensed by SB Creative.
SB Creative has since released five installments of the series under the GA Bunko label. As for the English translation, the series is licensed by Yen Press for the North American market.

After the success of the series, a manga adaptation has been released. The manga, illustrated by Wan Shibata with composition by Suzu Yūki (Eromanga-sensei: Yamada Elf Daisensei no Koisuru Junshin Gohan), has been serialized in Manga UP! (Square Enix’s online manga magazine) since January 2022.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten (お隣の天使様にいつの間にか駄目人間にされていた件, Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsu no Ma ni ka Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken) TV anime will be directed by Kenichi Imaizumi (After School Dice Club), with Keiichiro Ochi (The Quintessential Quintuplets) responsible for the series composition and Takayuki Noguchi (Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway) in charge of character design. Moe Hyuga (Steins; Gate 0) is in charge of the soundtrack. The anime is produced by Studio Project No.9 (Ryuuou no Oshigoto!).
The anime adaptation was first announced in January 2022. At the end of March 2022, the TOHO animation booth of AnimeJapan 2022 announced a teaser PV of the project.
On May 13, 2022, the official Twitter channel released a second teaser visual, introducing the four main characters.
