Shakira made an announcement about her upcoming song with Ozuna
Shakira, a Colombian musician, has released a new song starring Ozuna, a Puerto Rican singer. The song is called Monotonia and it seems to be about heartbreak. The Hips Don’t Lie singer took to the song multiple times on social media, which got fans excited for the debut. The Grammy-winning singer stated that the song, from her eleventh studio album, would be released on October 19.
Ozuna posted in response to Shakira’s Instagram post:
“A little king with a mighty lordship.” It translates to “A little king with a beautiful queen.”
Last month, the singer acknowledged her divorce from Spanish player Gerard Pique and said she was going through the hardest and darkest times of her life. On Instagram, she teased the lyrics to the new song, writing:
“It wasn’t your fault / It wasn’t my fault / It was the fault of monotony,” (“It wasn’t your fault / It wasn’t mine / It was the fault of monotony.”)
Viewers can witness a human heart being trampled in a short video she posted online. The caption of the post read:
“I didn’t say anything, but it stung.” “I knew it was going to happen.”
Many people believe that the caption refers to the player who breaks the singer’s heart. The cover image for Monotonia shows a knife piercing a heart.
Shakira claims that her songs are influenced by personal experiences.
Monotonia is Shakira’s successor to her April issue Te Felicito with Rauw Alejandro. The singer praised her ex in Te Felicito for being a great actor in their relationship. Her ex-lover Gerard Pique was accused of cheating on her in the song. The singer said in an interview with Elle that the lyrics of her songs are influenced by personal experiences.
She stated the following:
“All I can say is that everything I feel, everything I go through, is reflected in the songs I write, in the videos I produce, whether intentionally or unconsciously.” If the glove fits, the glove fits. Like I said, my music is that station.”
Shakira, who has been married to Pique for 12 years and has two children, told the magazine:
“It was not only difficult for me, but also for my children.” Extremely challenging. I try to keep the problem as hidden from them as possible. It is especially difficult for two children who are still coping with their parents’ divorce. And sometimes I just feel like I’m having a terrible dream and will wake up at some point.”
She went on to say:
“However it ends or how Gerard and I think of each other as ex-partners, he remains the father of my children.” We have a job to do for these two extraordinary boys. And I’m sure we’ll determine what’s best for their future, their own life goals, and what’s a fair solution for everyone involved.”
