Husband – Tony Robbins
Tony was born in Hollywood, California, the eldest of three children. He lived mostly with his mother after his parents divorced, and she remarried a former professional baseball player who adopted him and gave him the last name Robbins.
The family moved to Asuza where he grew up and attended Glendora High School. At a young age, he displayed a charisma that led him to become the president of the student body. However, the family was not well off and he had to take on side jobs to earn money for his siblings.
He was also often the subject of abuse as his parents’ relationship was crumbling, and to escape the chaos, he left home after high school. He did not attend university and spent his early working life as a janitor. He eventually discovered author and motivational speaker Jim Rohn, who inspired him and led him to his current career path.
He began promoting Rohn’s work, joining his team in marketing and inviting guests to seminars. This eventually led him to attend seminars as a young adult, increasing his knowledge by learning from experts such as John Grinder, who popularized neurolinguistic programming (NLP).

Controversies – Tony Robbins
With his extensive career, Tony has also seen his share of controversy, which is common among people in his industry. In 1995, he paid more than $200,000 in fines for violating the Federal Trade Commission franchise rule. Five years later he had one lawsuit brought against him by financial author Wade Cook because Tony used many sentences from his books in his seminars, which are copyrighted sentences.
Cook was to be paid $600,000 after the judge ruled in his favor; the case was later appealed and settled out of court. Since 2012, he has been covered by the media for his promotion of firewalking, which he has included in his seminars since learning about it early in his career, which many have considered unsafe and dangerous.
Several reports state that many of his seminar attendees who participate in firewalking tend to go to the hospital right after to treat injuries and even severe burns.
In 2019, publications led by Buzzfeed supposedly started a expose about him, with many women coming forward and declaring Tony’s history of sexual abuse and harassment. He has denied all claims and even filed a lawsuit against Buzzfeed for trying to destroy his reputation.
Sage and Tony were no strangers to marriage when they met. He was first married to Rebecca Jenkins whom he met at a seminar, and they remained together for 14 years. He also has a son from an ex-girlfriend. In 2000, Sage met him at a seminar. She was married at the time, but the two became romantically involved, and her now former husband accused Tony because he steals a wife, and his seminar the reason for their divorce. The two married a year later and now live in Manalapan, Florida, but are often seen together when they travel for work.
