Google announced on September 29, 2022 that its Stadia cloud game streaming service will be discontinued at the end of January 2023. It was also new to the industry as it was a platform that did not require any hardware purchase on the part of the user; you could plug a controller you already own into your computer and get started by launching Google Chrome.
