Rebecca was initially raised as an only child in Hays by her parents, who were both in the real estate business – as she grew up the family moved several times.
Rebecca attended Ralston Senior High School where she was very physically active while playing a variety of sports and was also one of the top students there with her 4.0 Grand Point Average (GPA). While still in high school, she became Miss Nebraska and later entered the Miss USA beauty pageant where she became one of five finalists. After matriculation in 1979, she enrolled at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln where she graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with another 4.0 GPA.
After graduating, Rebecca started working as a professional model and moved to Paris, France, which has remained her favorite travel destination to this day – she has traveled all over the world for her photoshoots and visited countries such as Japan, Germany and Italy . . After three years of traveling, she moved to New York and signed with the Ford Modeling Agency.

She made her TV series debut in 1985, playing Jessie Matthews in two episodes of the longest running soap – “The Guiding Light” – which aired from 1952 to 2009 and starred Kim Zimmer, Beth Chamberlin and Maureen Garrett – follows the lives of the Bauer family living in the fictional town of Springfield, winning 106 awards and being nominated for more than 450 others.
In the following years, Rebecca appeared in some episodes of various series such as the 1990 crime drama “Columbo”, the primetime gothic soap opera “Dark Shadows” and the teen drama “Beverly Hills, 90210”. It wasn’t until 1992 that Rebecca guest-starred in single episodes of five series, including the crime drama “Likely Suspects”, another drama “The Wonder Years” and the sitcom “Bob”.
