Pamela Anderson revealed to Jimmy Kimmel that her son, Brandon, is the producer of the documentary Pamela, a Love Story and that he “wanted” Anderson to make the series. She stated:

“He said to me, ‘Mom, it’s time for you to share your story,’ and I replied, ‘Okay, let me see what I can come up with.’ And I said, “I don’t even know if I kept anything,” and I gave him the keys to the records, and he walked over there and said, “I kept everything, everything.”

Pamela Anderson said in an interview that it was “difficult” to refresh her memories by watching different family movies. Anderson noted that the diary was read by another woman:

“Someone asked me to read the diaries, and I refused. I commented that I thought that was going too far; I’m not going to sit there and read my diaries. Plus I’d probably say, ‘Oh, I’m not going to do that, I’m not going to do that.’

She went on to say:

“All I really wanted was nothing to do with the documentary, and I just sat down with my son Dylan two days ago and watched it. And I’m like, covering his eyes, covering my eyes all the time. We are both in tears and I’m not sure what I saw, but I was more worried about him (Dylan).”
