Career
He completed his education at International, which he attended at the age of 15. After two years, he came on as a substitute for Santos in the second half of a 0–0 home draw. Otávio joined FC Porto as a free agent when Internacional relinquished its federative rights. He agreed to a five-year contract with a €50 million buyout clause.
