The release date of Pokemon: Hisuain Snow is May 18, 2022. It is animated by the Japanese animation company WIT Studio.
The new web anime takes us back to the past in Pokemon: Hisuain Snow! I haven’t seen Pokemon in years, but the games have a special place in my heart.
I received the Pokemon Red version for the Gameboy on my 6th or 8th birthday and since then I occasionally play on future generations. But sadly, the dozens of movies and seasons starring an eternal child, Ash Ketchum, and his Pikachu were boring.
But Pokemon: Hisuain Snow has my attention, and I can’t wait to check it out later this year!
What do we know about Pokemon: Hisuain Snow?
WIT Studio is producing it with Ken Yamamoto as the director, Conisch is making the music, Taku Kishimoto is the screenwriter and KURO is the character designer.
We know that the only voice actors are Koki Uchiyama as adult Alec, Rie Kugamiya as child Alec and Rikiya Koyama as Alec’s father. Pokemon: Hisuain Snow is a web anime that will be a three part series on The Pokemon Channel and the official Pokemon Youtube channel.
Pokemon: Hisuain Snow is about a boy named Alec and his encounter with a Hisuain Zorua. Alec’s father taught him that humans and Pokemon cannot live together.
Will this encounter change his mind? Interestingly, in the teaser trailer above, a young girl is watching a Hisuain Zorua. She is also in the top photo wearing a Zorua mask.
The Hisuain Zorua is a normal/ghost type and a spiteful fox in the Pokedex. They were driven to the Hisuain region by humans. But could not survive the harsh winter climate and residential Pokemon.
Their trailing souls were reborn and they tend to attack any lone person or Pokemon they see, using illusions and feeding on the fear their target produces.
How does Pokemon: Hisuain Snow affect the timeline?
We don’t know if any characters from Pokemon: Arceus will appear in Hisuain Snow. However, since the webanime will only have three episodes, it might be best to focus on Alec and this young girl.
The Zorua are known for creating illusions. And ghosts have always been part of the pokemon universe† So I wouldn’t be surprised if the girl was already dead or will die during the anime.
But we will have to wait a little longer before we get our answers. Stay tuned!
