Ten Asia, a South Korean media source, announced on March 3, 2023 that NCT’s Yuta had been verified to star in the upcoming Japanese series Play it Cool, Guys. Based on the manga series Cool Doji Danshi, the drama looks at the lives of four main characters whose faiths are intertwined. Through their growing relationship, the four protagonists in Play it Chill, Guys learn the essence of existence.

Fujioka Maito, Sakurada Dori and Kawanishi Takumi star in the thriller, which also stars NCT’s Yuta. Kokone Nata produced the manga series Cool Donji Danshi.

The life drama stars Yuta from NCT as Ichikura Hayate, an endearing 20-year-old college student. Despite his good looks and charisma, the character is clumsy and is often humiliated when he makes a mistake. Although he appears strong on the outside, he is a sensitive person on the inside. The program follows NCT’s Yuta’s character as he navigates his daily challenges and moves on with his life.

Meanwhile, Fujioka Maito will play Futami Shun, a muscular high school student. The 17-year-old acts like he did everything on purpose, and in the comic he is depicted as a sports enthusiast. Sakurada Dori plays Mima Tayayukuri’s salary man, who is characterized as carefree even when he makes mistakes. Feeling uncomfortable with his colleagues at work, the 27-year-old becomes involved with high school and college students.

According to the manga series and plot, the three characters will be joined by Kawanishi Takumi, a fun-loving student who enjoys his life and is currently enrolled in a professional design school.
