Early life and career beginnings
Natalia is of Spanish descent, particularly Basque and Extremadura. She grew up in London, where her father worked as a carpenter while her mother had a job as a secretary. She learned to speak Spanish fluently at home and became comfortable speaking two languages. She attended Bedales independent boarding school in Hampshire.
At a young age she developed a love for music, nurtured mainly by her mother who taught her to play the piano.
During her teens to young adult years, she developed a love for stage acting, spending her free time with street performers on the London Underground. She also learned to play the accordion when she was part of a theater group Knee High, a theater company that travels the world. In 2002, she ventured into her first professional project, the movie “About a Boy”, starring Hugh Grant and Nicholas Hoult, and is based on Nick Hornby’s novel of the same name. After that, she decided to pursue a full-time career as an actress.

Rise to Fame – Harry Potter
While seeking opportunities in film and television, Tena turned her attention to stage projects, appearing in an adaptation of “Gone to Earth” based on the 1950 film of the same name. She also worked on a stage adaptation of “Nights at the Circus’, based on the award-winning novel of the same name written by Angela Carter.
The following year, she began her role in the fifth film of the “Harry Potter” film series, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”, and reprized her role in subsequent films, leading to the finale “Harry Potter and the Deathly “. Hallows – Part 2” in 2011.

Recent projects
After appearing in the music video for Lapalux’s “Without You,” Tena landed another notable role in an episode of “Black Mirror,” playing a mentally ill woman. The movie is an anthology series similar to the older series of its kind such as “The Twilight Zone”. It shows different stories set in a dystopian future with new invasive technology, threatening different human rights concepts. She appeared in the episode “white Christmas‘ with John Hamm and Rafe Spall.
After that, she was cast as the main character in the mini-series “Residue” which aired on Netflix.
The horror series follows the life of a photojournalist who discovers eerie supernatural connections to the bombing of a nightclub in the future England. Then she worked on the CBS series “Wisdom of the Crowd”, which ran for a year. One of her latest projects is the series “Origin”, where she portrayed the character Lana Pierce. The show follows the story of strangers trapped in a spaceship who must work together to try and survive. Private life
Natalie is in a relationship, though she’s not the type to reveal much about past or current romantic endeavors to the public.
