She is also one of the co-creators of the television series “Angie Tribeca”. She is the wife of actor and comedian Steve Carell.
Nancy Carell’s net worth
As of mid 2020, Nancy Carell’s net worth is estimated to be over $400,000 earned through a successful career in the entertainment industry, working mainly in supporting roles in various projects, usually involving her husband.
She is also likely benefiting from her husband’s success as Steve reportedly has a net worth of over $80 million.
Beginning of early life, education and career
Nancy grew up in Cohasset and at a young age she became interested in acting and performing. She hoped to make it big in the entertainment industry, and after graduating from high school, she enrolled at Boston College, where she received her bachelor’s degree. During her time there, she was part of My Mother’s Fleabag, a college-based improv group. After graduation, she continued her interest in comedy and acting and moved to Chicago to be part of The Second City where she developed her skills by performing with the troupe.
Many of the group’s students would find success in comedy, and she followed the direction of many of her alumni when she successfully auditioned to be a cast member of “Saturday Night Live” (SNL). The comedy sketch and variety show has been airing since the 1970s and is known for helping many popular comedy stars of the modern era. She was with the cast for a year, during which time she became best known for doing an impression of anchor Bobbie Battista.
Life after Saturday Night Live
Carell only stayed with SNL for a year, which was shorter than some of the cast members, though her run in entertainment didn’t end there.
Soon after, she found work and became part of “The Daily Show”, a television satirical news show. She worked as a correspondent on the show and was part of the team during Jon Stewart’s run.
She also ventured into other roles such as voice work in the animated series “The Goode Family” in which she voiced Helen Goode. Airing briefly on ABC, the series focused on a family obsessed with environmental responsibility; the show was created by Mike Judge, who is also known for his work in “King of the Hill” and “Beavis and Butt-Head”.
In 2011, she landed one of her biggest roles, when she became a recurring character on the series “The Office”, which also starred her husband, Steve. The show follows the lives of employees working in a fictional paper office and takes a documentary format, where the characters know about the camera crew and often participate in interviews similar to reality shows. During her time there, she played the role of a real estate agent and Carell’s character’s former girlfriend.
Recent projects
While working in “The Office,” Nancy also took on other projects, such as a small role in “Bridesmaidsnext to Rose Byrne.

The film follows the story of a woman who encounters several misadventures after accepting the role of bridesmaid for her best friend – it is producer Judd Apatow’s biggest box office success to date. She also appeared as the on-screen wife of her real-life husband in the movie “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World” which also starred Keira Knightly. The film follows the story of two people helping each other as the world comes to an end, but the film bombed at the box office.
Her latest project is creating the show “Angie Tribeca” with her husband.
The show airs on TBS, starring Rashida Jones as the titular character, and was intended to be a parody of several popular police procedural shows. It aired for four seasons before becoming cancelled.
