Who is Tonia Sotiropoulou?
Tonia Sotiropoulou is a Greek actress and model, who is probably best known as a ‘Bond girl‘ – she appeared opposite Daniel Craig in the 2012 movie from the world of ‘Bond, James Bond’ titled ‘Skyfall’. Besides this great achievement, she is widely recognized for her starring role in the TV fantasy comedy series “Lola”, and for appearing in movies such as “Berberian Sound Studio”, “Hercules” (2014) and “Waiting Room” (2018).
Early life and education
Tonia Sotiropoulou used to be born under the astrological sign Taurus on the 28e April 1987, in Athens, Greece. She is of white ethnicity and apart from having Greek nationality, she also has some Cypriot ancestry.
After completing her secondary education, she enrolled in the School of Contemporary Theater of Athens, run by the famous Greek actor and director Giorgos Kimoulis. However, she dropped out before completing her degree and eventually enrolled in KEA Drama School. At the age of 20 Tony briefly resided in Berlin, Germany, before moving to London, England, where they pursued her acting career full-time.
Early career
Tonia’s acting debut took place in 2007 when she landed a role in the Greek comedy film “Cool” (aka “Psyhraimia”). Her first small screen appearance came just a year later when she appeared in an episode of the romantic TV drama series “Alithinoi erotes” which was followed by an appearance in the TV series “Hrysa Koritsia” and “Se Eida. ..”.
To greater fame Tony came later in 2008, when she was cast in the recurring role of Romina in the TV series “Lola”, which she played until 2009.
Acting career
In the spotlight, young Tony stepped in 2012, when she appeared as Elena in the critically acclaimed Italian horror thriller film “Berberian Sound Studio”. however, the real breakthrough in her acting career later took place in 2012 when she appeared as a Bond girl in Sam Mendes’ directorial debut in the James Bond film franchise – the Oscar-winning movie”Skyfall“. Among her most recent acting assignments for the camera are the 2018 comedy drama film ‘Everything is Wonderful’ in which she stars as the female protagonist, as well as the TV historical fantasy romance film ‘The Selection’.

Private life
Besides being known for her on-camera performance,’the very first Greek Bond girl‘ is recognized for her model-like appearance also – she is 1.68 m tall and weighs about 54 kg with vital statistics measures 34-25-34. As a fashionista, Sotiropoulou chooses to exclusively use clothing from Greek designers in her public appearances, and she is also a spokesperson for Angelo Al Spirito Rosa’s unique jewelry line called The Wicked Fairy. Kostis Maraveyas was born on the 13e May 1974 in Agrinio, Greece, and is a multimedia personality – he is not only a musician, but also a singer, songwriter, composer, writer, TV presenter and producer. He attended the University of Bari in Italy, where he studied mathematics and statistics, and the Niccolò Piccini Conservatory.
In 2001 he debuted as a solo artist and in 2003 he released his first album “Radiopiratis” which received positive reviews from fans. In 2007 Kostis‘ second studio album “Maraveyas Ilegal” was released, followed by his third one called “Welcome To Greece” and released in 2009. In the following year, Maraveyas performed at the European Broadcasting Festival Prix Europa, while in 2011 the music video for his hit single “Fila Me Akoma” was honored with two MAD Video Music Awards, as well as being nominated for the prestigious 2011 MTV Europe Music Award.

In 2012, Maraveyas Ilegál released his fourth studio album simply titled “Lola”, which was followed by the novel of the same name. In 2014, he made his directorial debut with the TV documentary series “Mousiki Pantou”, and was also awarded the Best Composer award by the Athinorama People’s Choice Theater Awards, for his work on the play based on Moliére’s comedy of the same name “Filargyros” . . Between 2017 and 2019, he was one of the judges of the TV talent show ‘The Voice of Greece’.
