Early life and education

Ellison spent her early years in Atlanta, where she was raised as an only child by her father, who is a mechanic, and her mother, who is a nurse. She became interested in broadcast journalism at a very young age and watched news and other programs on TV with her parents.

She attended a local high school in Atlanta where she was physically active and played a variety of sports while being primarily interested in reporting and thus working for the school’s local show. Ellison also covered the closing of the US Capitol, as well as the events that followed Terrence Sterling was shot dead.

In April 2017, Ellison was invited to work for the Fox News network and become a general assignment correspondent. She was the first to report from Maicao in Colombia and during shooting a firefight took place that lasted 30 minutes – luckily neither Ellison nor members of her team were injured.

Ellison became somewhat famous when she worked at the WUSA network reporting during a snow storm, where she happened to Alexander Ovechkin who is a Russian professional ice hockey player for the Washington Capitals who compete in the National Hockey League (NHL).

The video of her interview with Alexander went viral and more than four million Americans saw it on the Internet. Ellison recently returned to Maicao and reports with her crew from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) refugee camp.

2017 Ellison met Andy Tongren, who is best known as a member of the rock band Young Rising Sons. Ellison announced they were together in December 2017 when she uploaded a photo of them together on her Instagram account, and she has written about her significant other many times since then.

Andy has also shared the photos of the two on his social media accounts, and while Ellison and Andy reportedly live together, they are not married and have no children together. Andy Tongres was born in New Jersey, USA on April 5, 1987, so his zodiac sign is Aries and he is an American national. He is a musician, but best known as Ellison Barber’s husband.

He grew up in New Jersey and started singing when he entered high school. He joined his first band at the age of 15 and later joined the alternative rock band Young Rising Sons – the three other members are Julian Dimagiba on the bass, Max Lantorno on the guitar and Steve Patrick who plays the drums.

The band was formed in 2010, but only gained recognition after they started working with Shep Goodman and Aaron Accetta, two New York music producers.

Young Rising Sons were soon signed to Dirty Canvas Music, while their debut single “High” was released in 2013.
