Career
Milan Lucic began his career in 2004 with the Coquitlam Express and the Vancouver Giants. In the Entry Draft, he was selected by the Boston Bruins. On October 5, 2000, he made his NHL debut with the Boston Bruins and was then named the next team captain of the Giants, where he remained until the 2013-2014 season. Milan was then shared with the Los Angeles Kings on June 26, 2015, where he finished the season with 20 goals.
The following year, he became an unrestricted free agency and signed a three-year, $42 million deal with the Edmonton Oilers. His MVP performance came in the 2007 Memorial Cup and he was named Canada’s team captain for the 2007 Super Series against Russia. He gained even more notoriety after a hit on rival goaltender Ryan Miller during a game against the Buffalo Sabres. He is now associated with the Calgary Flames.
