Actor Matt Gogin died on December 13, 2022, at the age of 40, from complications from COVID-19 and pneumonia. He died at Providence St. Jude’s Medical Center in Fullerton, California. His father, actor Michael Lee Gogin, paid tribute to him on Facebook, uploading a photo and stating that his family had suffered a lot since his son’s diagnosis. He continued:

Michael indicated that the family has scheduled a memorial service for Matt on May 28, 2023 in Southern California, with the time and location to be announced shortly. He ended the message by asking everyone to contact anyone who is not yet aware of the actor’s passing.

Born on May 28, 1982, Matt Gogin began his career in the entertainment world with the 2002 comedy film The New Guy, playing Ed Ligget. The picture, directed by Ed Decter, was a box office triumph, although it received mixed reviews from reviewers. He was next cast in Tiptoes, a 2003 comedy-drama film. Gary Oldman, Kate Beckinsale, Patricia Arquette, Matthew McConaughey and Peter Dinklage played key roles in the film.
