The release date of Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth is scheduled for July 2022, the summer 2022 anime season. It has two courses and lasts 28 episodes.

Suara will perform both the Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth OP theme song (opening) titled Hito Nanda and the ED theme song (ending) titled Hyakunichiso. Crunchyroll has licensed the series for international streaming.

Utawarerumono is a Japanese adult tactical role-playing visual novel released in April 2022 for Microsoft Windows and developed by Leaf. It is also developed for: PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation4 and PlayStation Vita. The game received both manga and anime adaptations due to its popularity.
The original Utawarerumono anime aired in Japan between April 3, 2006 and September 25, 2006 and had a total of 26 episodes. A short, 7-minute, omake, special episode was released with the first DVD release on August 23, 2006.
The opening theme song was Musoka by Suara. The first theme song used for the first 25 episodes is called Madoromi no Rinne by Eri Kawai. The last episode had a special ending titled Kimi ga Tame from Suara. In July 2008, Utawarerumono was licensed by Funimation.
To get hype for a possible second season, a three-episode OVA was released that focuses on side stories from the game that weren’t featured in the anime series. On June 5, 2009, the first OVA was released. The opening theme song of the OVA is called Adamant Faith by Suara and the closing theme is Yume no Tsuzuki by Rena Uehara.
The first OVA revolves around Ulthuri’s relationship with a child rescued from Niwe’s attack. Ulthury has come to protect the child in such a way that she eventually even has to go against her own friends to defend the child. On December 23, 2009, the second OVA was released, and on June 23, 2010, the third and final OVA was released.
Studio White Fox of Goblin Slayer fame takes over
The game Utawarerumono: False Faces received an anime adaptation that was announced on June 7, 2015. It was directed by Keitaro Motonaga, produced by White Fox (known for producing the popular anime Goblin Slayer), and Takamitsu Kono oversaw it. script. Masahiko adapted and sharpened the original character designs while Naoya Shimokawa and Aquaplus composed the music.
The series aired from October 3, 2015 to March 26, 2016 and is currently streaming on Crunchyroll. The opening theme songs titled Fuantei na Kamisama and Ten Kakeru Hoshi are sung by Suara. She also sings the two ending songs titled Yumekaotsutsuka and Hoshi Kudaru Sora Aogimite.
An original anime titled Utawarerumono: Tsukur-kojo no Karei Naru Hibi was released on April 26, 2018, along with a premium collection PS4/Vita remake of Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen. Again, White Fox was the studio.
The game’s continued popularity fueled the epic anime finale
On October 19, 2019, an anime adaptation of the game Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth was announced. White Fox will re-animate the anime series. It will be directed by Kenichi Kawamura. Masahiko Nakata will design the characters and act as the chief animation director. The screenwriter will be Itsuki Yokoyama. Aquaplus will compose the music.

The plot of Utawarerumono will focus on the fate of two countries – Yamato and Tuskur, the truth surrounding the masks, and hopefully answer the lingering questions and mysteries that have remained in the air for the past few seasons.
Following the events of Mask of Deception, a ruthless tyrant currently rules the Yamato Empire. It’s up to a few familiar faces to team up to confront the might of the Imperial army. Nations and generals will have to choose a side to fight for in this civil war where the fate of this fantasy world is at stake.
