Man dies after hitting kangaroo in Queensland’s Womalilla

A 48-year-old man was riding a motorcycle in rural Queensland when he was hit by a kangaroo.

A man has been killed after a kangaroo hit a motorcycle in Queensland.

The 48-year-old man was riding an off-road motorcycle north along Middle Road, Womalilla, just after 7:30 p.m. Thursday when he collided with the animal.

The impact of the collision threw the man from his vehicle and sustained serious injuries.

Emergency services arrived and treated the Womalilla man, but he died at the scene.

The kangaroo was also found dead after the crash.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
