Leak: TikTok launches generative AI avatars and here’s what they look like
TikTok is working on a feature that will create AI-generated profile pictures, according to social media consultant Matt Navarrawith whom images and videos from the tool have been shared The edge. On the surface, the tool takes headshots much like what you might see in Prisma Labs’ Lensa app, but since it would be built right into TikTok, you might soon see a lot more AI-created avatars if you scroll through your feed.
This is how it works. The tool asks you to submit three to 10 photos and then choose from two to five different styles for the final AI-created photos, says Navarra. Once you’ve done that, it takes a while for the photos to actually generate. Once they’re done, you can download them, set one of them as your avatar, or post one to your TikTok story.
The examples with which Navarra shared The edge And on Twitter pretty good, and covered a wide variety of fun styles. I saw one lot of people messing with this tool to create creative avatars of themselves – just like they did with Lensa.
TikTok did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
