Who is Kimberly Sustad?
Kimberly Sustad was born in Ottawa, Quebec, Canada, on May 27 while hiding her year of birth from the media’s attention, but apparently in the mid-80’s – her zodiac sign is Gemini and she is a Canadian national. She is an actress and film writer, who is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Joanne Yates in the sci-fi mystery series “Travelers,” created by Brad Wright and starring Eric McCormack, MacKenzie Porter, and Nesta Cooper. It follows several people who can travel back in time and try to “change the path of mankind” – the film won four awards and was nominated for 16 others.
Youth and education
Kimberley grew up in Ottawa and Winnipeg, Manitoba but has not shared any details about her siblings and parents, but it is believed that her mother and father were both theater actors.
She attended a local high school where she became interested in acting, and acted in numerous plays performed there – Kimberley also practiced her skills at a local theater and acted in a number of plays. After entrance exam, she enrolled at Trinity Western University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in acting.

Kimberley made her screen debut in 2009, playing one of the three main characters in the short drama “Live Henry Live”, written and directed by Alec Whittle, and also starring Lisa Reynolds and Harry Calbom – it follows a man who is not at all creative, and how this affects his family.
She then played Nikki in the 2011 comedy ‘Thunderballs’, and a few of her next roles were in the 2012 romantic comedy ‘A Bride for Christmas’, the family movie ‘Super Buddies’ and the drama ‘Baby Sellers’, both in 2013 – the same year she also appeared in the drama “Down River”, which is about the lives of three young women, and was both written and directed by Benjamin Ratner.
In 2014, Kimberley starred as Marilee White, one of the main characters the romantic comedy “The Nine Lives of Christmas”and a few of her next notable appearances were in the 2016 romantic comedy “All Things Valentine”, the 2017 romantic comedy “Walking the Dog” and the 2018 comedy “Cooking with Love”.
Three of her most recent roles in films were in the 2019 romantic film “Sense, Sensibility & Snowmen” in which she starred alongside Erin Krakow and Luke Macfarlane, the 2020 romantic comedy “Wedding Every Weekend” in which she played the lead role Brooke Etheridge, and the 2020 romantic drama ‘Christmas by Starlight’, starring Annie Park.
Roles in TV series
Kimberley made her TV series debut in 2012 when she was cast to play Charlotte in the “Clarence Montgomery” episode of the action-crime drama “Alcatraz”.
Some of her next roles were in three episodes of “Primeval: New World”, and some episodes of both “Motive” and “Continuum”.
She gained recognition in 2013 when she was cast to play Madeline Templeton in five episodes of the action-adventure fantasy “Spooksville”, created by Dan Angel and Billy Brown, and starring Keean Johnson, Katie Douglas and Nick Purcha – it follows a child who holds the key to defeat the evil in a small town once and for all. The series won five awards and was nominated for 23 others. In the following years, Kimberley appeared in some episodes of various series such as “Witches of East End”, “The Gourmet Detective” and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered”, then starred as Kelly Hadler in the drama “The Romeo Section” , which was a hit, winning seven awards while being nominated for 14 others.
In 2019, she was invited to play one of the main characters, Caitlyn Hartley, in the 2019 historical drama ‘Unspeakable’, which also starred Sarah Wayne Callies and Shawn Doyle, and which follows the outbreak of HIV in Canada in the the 80’s. Three of her most recent roles in TV series were in the mystery drama ‘Morning Show Mysteries’, the romantic comedy ‘You Me Her’, both in 2019, and the 2020 fantasy horror drama ‘Supernatural’.

Kimberley was nominated for two Leo Awards in 2019: Best Lead Performance by a Female in a Television Movie for ‘A Godwink Christmas’ and Best Supporting Performance by a Female in a Drama Series for ‘Unspeakable’.
Love life and husband. Pregnant?
Kimberley is quite secretive when it comes to her love life, and hasn’t shared much about her marriage to Scot Sustad – Scot is a Canadian entrepreneur and community builderwho is perhaps best known as founder of Digital Hot Sauce, a website development agency, and The Arrival Store where he now serves as CEO.
The two have not spoken about how and where they met, but it is believed that it was in the early 2000s – after dating for a few years, they got married in 2004 in a private ceremony attended by their closest friends and family. They are parents of three children today, including twins Ari and Vienna, while rumors on the internet suggest that Kimberley may be pregnant again, but this has not been confirmed.
As of December 2020, Kimberley is married to Scot Sustad and they have three children together.
Hobbies and other interests
Kimberley loves to travel and her career as an actress has taken her to many Canadian cities as well as several US states including New York, California and Nevada. She has also visited a number of European countries, including France and Italy.
She is a fashionista and tries to keep up with the latest trends and so is a bit of a shopaholic, usually buying clothes at least once a week.
