Kill la Kill anime voice actress Saki Nitta dies aged 31

Talent agency 81 Produce recently announced that their voice actress, Saki Nitta, died on February 6, 2022 at the age of 31 from a meningioma, a tumor usually found in the brain or spinal cord.

Past positions and career history
Born in Tomakomai, Hokkaido in 1991, Saki Nitta’s career began in 2010 with a role in Cosplay-Animal’s radio drama. She graduated from the Amusement Media Academy’s voice actor training program in 2011, and was picked up by talent agency 81 Produce in 2013. She then spent the next ten years in the voice acting industry, working on over 90 credited projects in the Japanese media industry on a wide variety of projects and titles.
Those projects include anime, movies, OVAs, web-animated series, games, drama CDs, BL CDs, and radio plays. She also worked in Japanese dubbing on films such as The 9th Life Of Louis Drax and Coco, Korean dramas such as Accident Couple and 100 Days My Prince, games such as Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and Twisted Wonderland, and on the dubs for Young Justice and Sofia The First as luminaries in a long and storied career history.
In addition, she also acted in television dramas and movies, provided stories for documentaries, provided voiceover for Japanese TV shows and performed on stage in various productions.
She was known for her wide range of voice acting roles, including some in Kill La Kill, Pokemon Black & White, Pop Team Epic, Magi: Adventure of Sinbad, Kiznaiver, and Space Patrol Luluco.
She was best known for her history of voicing numerous background characters, but she also voiced Pakuri from Kill la Kill, Tsubaraya in MAJOR SECOND season 2, Bridget Faye and Cache Dop from D. Gray man Hallow, and the young Shunsuke Imaizumi from Yowamushi pedal.

“Saki Nitta, an actor we represent through our agency, died of a meningioma on February 6, 2022. In accordance with the wishes of the family of the deceased, the funeral service was limited to immediate relatives of the family only. We would like to express our deepest gratitude and gratitude for your kindness and support throughout her life.”
