Katia Winter is a Swedish actress, probably best known for her portrayal of the character Nadia in the TV series “Dexter”, and as Katrina Crane in “Sleepy Hollow”.

Catia Winter was born on October 13, 1983 in Stockholm, Sweden, so under the influence of the sun sign Libra. Information about her parents’ names and whether or not she grew up with siblings is not known, but she moved to London at a young age.

While in London, she appeared in the British TV series ‘Unmade Beds’ in 2009 and in ‘Everywhere and Nowhere’ in 2011. She moved to the United States and landed her first female lead in 2011 in the movie “Arena” starring Kellan Lutz and Samuel L. Jackson.

In 2012, she appeared in “Love Sick Love”, an independent film starring Matthew Settle, and appeared in “Banshee Chapter”. In 2012 she portrayed the character of Ava Baranski in the episode “Need to Know” in the TV series “NCIS”. Soon after, she got the chance to play the recurring character Nadia, a Russian stripper, in “Dexter”.

From 2013, she began working on the series “Sleepy Hollow” as Katrina Crane, earning accolades for her acting and fandom for her portrayal of the character.

In 2017 she was seen in “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”, and in “Blood & Treasure” in 2019. She was last seen in “Agent Hamilton” in 2020. Her upcoming projects are “You’re not Alone” , “The Catch”, “LVJ” and “1066”.

She is not a natural redhead as portrayed by her character in “Sleepy Hollow” – she dyed her hair twice a month to make her hair color look red for the role.

In 2010, Katia shaved her hair for her role of a poet in “Anaphylaxis” because the character demanded a fresh bald look.

She loves “Game of Thrones” and wants to play a Viking one day. She said, “I’m totally a sucker for period pieces, and I mean that’s a fantasy period, but mine are the dragons and stuff. I can’t imagine what it was like back then, long ago. Oh Vikings! God, I want to play a Viking someday.’
