The JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part 2 anime will apparently only have 10 episodes, which is two less than originally announced by Netflix.
JoJo Stone Ocean Part 2 kicks off with JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Episode 13. Netflix continues on April 15, 2022 announced that JoJo Stone Ocean Part 2 Episodes 13 through 22 will be re-released as a batch on Netflix.
Oddly enough, the older Anime Japan 2022 trailer clearly stated “Episodes 13 – 24 coming in 2022”, but the newer Netflix Geeked tweet has apparently reduced the number of episodes to 10.
“who’s the hype for new episodes of JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE: STONE OCEAN,” Netflix Geeked tweeted. “JOJO’S WEIRD ADVENTURE: STONE OCEAN Episodes 13-22 coming later this year.”
This change cannot be explained away as a typo. Earlier, the Netflix Geeked account also stated, “‘I will be stronger than anyone. Stone Ocean!’ JOJO’S WEIRD ADVENTURE: STONE OCEAN Episodes 13 – 22 coming in 2022.”
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part 2 release date is Fall 2022
As of the latest update, Netflix, Studio David Production or any other company associated with the production of the anime have not officially confirmed the exact release date of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part 2. Nor has the total number of episodes of Stone Ocean been disclosed.
But we do know that there will be at least 22 episodes and the release date of JoJo Part 6 Episode 13 is Fall 2022.
Unfortunately, Netflix Geeked’s April 2022 announcement didn’t further narrow the release time frame. Nor did the announcement discuss whether Japanese TV stations will start broadcasting JoJo Stone Ocean Part 2 a little later after the Netflix streaming release, which happened before Part 1.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part 3 Ends Storyline in 2023
While there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part 2, it can be said with certainty that 10 episodes is not nearly enough to cover the rest of Jolyne Cujoh’s story. There will be another anime sequel in 2023.
JoJo Stone Ocean Episode 12 adapted the first 50 chapters of creator Hirohiko Araki’s Stone Ocean manga. The manga had 158 chapters divided into 17 volumes. JoJo Stone Ocean Episode 13 should pick up the story again in Chapter 51, titled “Kiss of Love & Revenge”.
The final episode of JoJo Stone Ocean Part 3 will be quite shocking as the ending changes the whole JoJo continuity as sort of a setup for the newer manga parts, JoJo Part 7: Steel Ball Run, JoJo Part 8: JoJolion and JoJo Part 9 : JoJo Lands.
