The announcement was made during a special stage event at Anime Japan 2022: Day One on March 26, 2022.
Additionally, this JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean Part 2 trailer featured an episode 13 preview. It was shown at the end of the episode 12 Japanese TV broadcast on March 25, 2022.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean Episode 13 Release Date On Netflix USA
There has been a lot of confusion regarding Netflix’s release schedule for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6, which is JoJo season 5 in the general series as stated by Netflix. JoJo Stone Ocean Episode 13 is next in the lineup, but it will apparently hit Netflix en masse as JoJo Stone Ocean Part 2.
All previous anime adaptations have had multiple courses. What is a ‘cour’, you may ask? For those unfamiliar with the lingo, a “cour” is a three-month TV broadcast block based on the physical seasons that usually consist of 10 to 13 episodes.
JoJo Stone Ocean Part 1 was first streamed internationally in December 2021 and then began weekly TV broadcasting in Japan on January 7, 2022, the Winter 2022 anime season. The finale of the first court, JoJo Stone Ocean Episode 12, was broadcast on Released March 25, 2022 in Japan.
Some anime fans were hoping that JoJo Stone Ocean Part 2 would be streamed early on Netflix again. But when Netflix Geeked released its March 2022 streaming schedule, not a single mention of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean was noticeably absent.
Unfortunately, the reason is that the release date of JoJo Stone Ocean Part 2 is slated for Fall 2022.
JoJo Part 6 Episode 13 compared to the manga
The JoJo Stone Ocean storyline ran from 1999 to 2003 in creator Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga series. There are a total of 17 parts, consisting of parts 64 to 80 in the entire series.
JoJo Stone Ocean Episode 12 ended by editing the first 50 chapters. JoJo Stone Ocean Episode 13 should pick up the story again in Chapter 51, titled “Kiss of Love & Revenge”.
Since the Stone Ocean manga had a total of 158 chapters, David Production was able to adapt the story as a three-part JoJo Part 6 anime with about 36 to 38 episodes. That should mean that the release date of JoJo Stone Ocean Part 3 will be in… 2023.
Let’s hope it’s worth the wait for the JoJo Stone Ocean Episode 13. Stay tuned!
