Early life and education

Jennifer started working as soon as she finished college and joined the TV station WBBJ-TV as a reporter – the job required her to move to Jackson, Tennessee. After a while, Jennifer was allowed to anchor the weekend news, while also having to work without the help of writers and extra crew, even occasionally recording news items herself.

She joined Fox 61 (former Fox CT) in 2007. so moved to Hartford, Connecticut — she worked as a reporter for five years, including some time as a weekend news anchor, before retiring in 2012.

During those years, while working her way up in journalism, Jennifer also worked as a freelancer, which included writing columns for the largest daily newspaper in the US, “The Hartford Courant”.

She joined the golf lifestyle cable Back9Network – owned by her former husband – in 2012 and worked there for the next two years before being invited to join WNYW-TV, a Fox-affiliated network in New York City.

She was their general assignment reporter for the next three years before she began co-anchoring their “Good Day Wake Up” morning show.
