Nekotofu’s hit manga series ONIMAI: I’m Now Your Sister! gets a TV anime adaptation. An ONIMAI release date for the anime is yet to come announced†
The gender bending anime is about a boy who wakes up as a girl after his sister’s experiment.
Animation production for the series is provided by Studio Bind. This is Studio Bind’s second major anime production project after Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation. Studio Bind has already announced that they are working on Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 and Mushoku Tensei Season 3 has reportedly been green-lighted for in-house production.
The ONIMAI manga is currently serialized in Ichijinsha’s Monthly Comic Rex. A promotional video for the anime announcement and the release of the sixth volume of the manga has also been released on Ichijinsha’s YouTube channel.

The ONIMAI: I’m your sister now! anime is the directorial debut of the series for director Shingo Fujii. Series composition and character designs are provided by Michiko Yokote and Ryo Imamura respectively.
Kaori Ishihara, who plays Shouta Magatsuchi in Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, will play Mihari Oyama, and Marika Kouno, who plays Rin Kohana in the 2015 anime series Seiyu’s life!, will play Mahiro Oyama.

Mahiro Oyama was just a normal guy who loved erotica and games… until one morning he woke up as a woman! Turns out his mad scientist little sister, Mihari, has tried one of her new experiments on him… with disastrous results, as far as Mahiro is concerned! But Mihari is just as determined to study him as he is to get back to his locked-up, playing life, and one thing’s for sure… life will get a lot weirder from now on!

To commemorate the release of ONIMAI Volume 6 and its anime adaptation, an ONIMAI collaborative cafe is planned to be held at Machi Asobi Cafe in 5 locations in Japan from April 26 to May 8.
