Keriston Jamal Lewis was born on February 12, 1971 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. He is an R&B singer and songwriter, rhythm guitarist, keyboardist and percussionist.
Keri graduated from Central High School in Saint Paul but did not attend college and formally joined the Mint Condition band in 1990 as a keyboardist. His ex-school bandmates were Stokley Williams, Larry Wadell, Roger Lync, Ray Coleman, Kenny Young, and Homer O’Dell. The band was a success but soon broke up and Keri started his solo career.
