Early life and education
Kimberley and her family moved to Reno, Nevada when she was four, and they moved a second time, to British Columbia, Canada, when she was twelve. Her mother was a hairdresser and became interested in modeling and beauty pageants at an early age.
Kimberley attended a local high school, where she was physically active, and after graduating from college, she pursued a modeling career rather than enrolling in college.
Career as a model and actress
She started modeling at the age of seventeen working for John Casablancas Elite Model Management. Her modeling career started when she was invited to pose for “Playboyby local photographer Ken Honey, and was named Playboy’s Playmate of the Month in January 1988 and Playboy’s Playmate of the Year in 1989. The same year, she made her TV series debut in an episode of ‘Highway to Heaven’ and played a supporting role as a waitress in the popular drama series “Falcon Crest”.
Kimberley has been featured in countless “Playboy” videos and even had a special edition of the “Playboy” kiosk dedicated to her. A vegetarian and animal rights advocate, Conrad has worked for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and several animal rescue groups in Los Angeles, California.
Love life and marriage with Hugh Hefner
Kimberley gained a lot of media attention in 1989 when she married “Playboy” owner and publisher, Hugh Hefner. She was his second wife and they have two sons together, Marston Glenn Hefner and Cooper Bradford Hefner.
During the first nine years of their marriage, Kimberley transformed the Playboy mansion into a more conservative one, reportedly preventing Hugh from having parties at their house.
However, the two separated in 1998 but did not formally divorce. Hugo Hefner was quoted about the situation “I would have liked to divorce her when we broke up, but she wanted to stay married for our boys.” Kimberley moved into a house next to the Playboy Mansion, but after living in separate houses for 11 years, she filed for divorce in September 2009 citing “irreconcilable differences” after their youngest child turned 18. The divorce was finalized in March 2010.
Hugh Hefner paid Kimberley $250,000 a year after the divorce, but according to reports, she later filed a lawsuit against him in connection with $5 million that came from the sale of a home they owned together. Hefner reportedly stated that Kimberley cheated on him during their years together, though he (reportedly) remained faithful.
Since the divorce, Kimberley has remained out of the public eye and not much is known about her love life. She seems to be living a peaceful life with her children, and there are no rumors about her personal affairs.
Hobbies and other interests
Kimberley is an animal lover and has volunteered at animal shelters in her spare time. She’s adopted three dogs and spends a lot of time taking care of them – she’s not a big fan of cats. She enjoys cooking and is a fan and follower of Jamie Oliver, finding excitement in trying new vegetarian and vegan recipes.
She also enjoys reading, her favorites being classic novels such as Pride and Prejudice, One Hundred Years of Solitude, and Anna Karenina.
Appearance and power
Kimberley is 57 years old. She has blond hair and blue eyes, is 1.75 m tall, weighs 55 kg and her vital statistics are 36-24-36; she wears dress size three and size 8 shoes. As of March 2020, her net worth is estimated to be $1.5 million, while Hugh Hefner’s net worth was reported to be $110 million at the time of his death.
